About the Cross Culture Program

The Cross Culture Program in Germany was established in 2005. Ever since, it has been a growing network. Currently, it has over 800 alumni. Its singular purpose is to build up lasting civil society networks between Germany and other countries of the world. There are over 40 participating countries in this program. Approximately 100 fellowship recipients work together to gain unique experience in intercultural networks.

Furthermore, the Cross Culture Program offers three scholarships for individuals, NGOs and former fellowship recipients. These fully funded scholarships will last for about 3 months. Each scholarship has its own benefits and application deadline. The scholarships are:

To be awarded this fellowship, you must be working in one of the following fields:

Participating countries in Cross Culture Program

Countries participating in this program are: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Cuba, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian Territory, Qatar, Republic of Moldova, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

About CCP Fellowships

This program is targeted towards professionals and committed volunteers. Each year, about 100 persons from 42 participating countries receive funding. During the first two to three months of practical training, the individuals acquire intercultural skills and strengthen their expertise. The host organization, on the other hand, benefits from their expertise.

Benefits of CCP Fellowships

The following costs are covered by this program:

  • Roundtrip airfare
  • Accommodation
  • Monthly allowance worth €500, and €1,100 for German recipients
  • Health insurance
  • Visa fee payment
  • Monthly ticket for public transport

Application Deadline for CCP Fellowships: The next call for applications for CCP Fellowships for the year 2021 will start on 1 November, 2020. Deadline is December 15th, 2020.

About CCP Synergy

This program supports civil society organizations from Germany and other countries to work together on a project. Notably, it is designed for employees from two organizations with the intention of doing a joint project, hence, individuals are not eligible to apply.

Benefits of CCP Synergy

This program assists both participating organizations with €4,500 or €2,250 respectively. Also, the following expenses are covered:

  • Travel expenses
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Health insurance
  • Expenditure allowance
  • Other project related expenses

Application Deadline for CCP Synergy: The next call for applications for the CCP Synergy programme opens from 7 February to 22 March, 2024.

About CCP Alumni

This program is specifically designed for former CCP fellows. Its purpose is to assist the professional growth of former fellows, as well as deepen collaboration and networking via donating mobility funds and organizing frequent alumni meetings.
